There's the beast tribe, then us birds, and the dragons. There's at least three different types of laguz within each tribe - so, for instance, the beast tribe is mostly cats, lions, and tigers, but the rarer wolves are considered under their banner as well.

Us bird laguz are the only ones that have formed our own separate countries instead of living all lumped together. As I understand it from our history, living under the rule of the hawks was exhausting. I can't say I blame them.
