Turtles? I'm not entirely sold on what was described when I got here by the people at the Dreaming Bridge, although there are turtle gods back in Japan. Gen-bu, Oto-hime, Mino-game... so it's not unheard of.

But what I can't figure out is, where are all the shrines around here? You've got tons of different peoples all living in the same place, but no one thought to set up proper shrines??

What you all need is a new god to take care of those prayers of yours that have probably been going unanswered!

"About right" but not exact? [ She pauses. ] A friend of mine called the barrier between the spirit world and living world "the veil" on his world. And in some spots it was thin.

Is it more like that?

That's a better way of looking at it, yes. Sometimes the "veil" between the Shores is thinner in certain places, or during certain times of the year.

Why the interrogation?

By your tone, I'm guessing a Conjurer is more than just a magician?

It's someone who controls Phantoms, usually to attack others. That wouldn't be what you're about, right?

"Phantoms"? [ Sheena's confused. ] You mean like ghosts?

[ She shakes her head quickly. ]

If that's what you mean, no. The Spirits I can Summon are Elemental Spirits that protect the world and its people. The only time they'll attack is if I'm in battle and the Summoning is in line with the Pacts I made with them.

Phantoms, ayakashi, they're not exactly ghosts. They're more like... bad energy spirits.

[ The 'pact' reference gets a bit of a suspicious glance, but it's something he won't be able to really identify unless he sees her do it. ]
