[Are yimos waterproof? Hopefully. It would suck if Bastien already broke his. Then again, this pesky pirate always been a tad reckless. It's simply how he is. The accused pirate is back in town and today he looks like a drowned rat or rather...a drowned fish considering the blue scales and fins.]

[He grins goofily into the camera looking all bright eyed and bushy-tailed. It seems the pirate is in a good mood despite the slight bruising around his nose. Someone socked him good, very good.]

[The haughty laugh that follows is indeed quite haughty. Bastien is being a pompous arse but he's having fun. Let him have fun, folks.]

[He peers into the screen curiously as if waiting for a reply. This usually soulful brown eyes look amber in the sunlight like a cat's eye. Bastien is hanging out by the pier it seems.]

Eh? [Bastien crosses his eyes briefly so he can stare at the bruise upon his nose. While the swelling has gone down, it certainly doesn't look pretty.] Some surly blue skinned bloke socked me good.

[He explains without mentioning how he tried to rob this man.]

[He punches his hand with a confident smirk.]

I best to call, Valdis. I wonder if I can claim my old job? [A good question.] Gonna need the coin for a new ship.

[He smirks.]

[ Her tone is innocent, but her eyes reveal she has an idea that Bastien isn't totally free of guilt here, either. Which prompts her to shake her head at his declaration. ]

Don't get yourself in trouble, Bastien. [ She chuckles. ] I did say Valdis works for the Sentry, remember? You might have trouble getting your job back then.

[ She's still clueless. ]

There are a lot of cafes here. Do you know his name?

Eh, well...I sorta bumped into the bloke. [He mutters while trying to steer away from the ugly truth.] Must've stepped on him or something. Probably crushed his poor lil toes.

[Bastien chuckles a tad nervously. He feels bad for lying to Sheena but it's a white lie at best. The ninja doesn't need to know about his criminal activities. Nope, not at all.]

Eh? It was Valdis who helped me in gettin' the job but it was more my effort than anything.

Besides, I want to be some kind of naval officer. I would get my own ship if I make captain.

[ She gives him a pointed look that says she knows there's more to it than that, but she'll let it drop for now.

He's her friend; if he feels like telling her the rest--that's up to him. Though, if he's in trouble, she'd like to know. ]

That may be true, but did your last effort involve threatening to punch someone in return? [ She shakes her head and gives him a smile. ] I'm not trying to be difficult, really. I'd just hate to see you not reach your dream--which I didn't know until now.

Well, the bloke who was about to earn that punch deserves one! [He explains with a huff.] I was lookin' to make some quick coin.

[ Chuckling, Sheena shakes her head. ]

Well, yes. [He answers a tad too honestly.] I'm a pirate, luv. I confess, it is my intention to commandeer one of these fine vessels at port, pick up a crew, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer my weasely black guts out.

[Bastien huffs dramatically as if this is all a rehearsed act on his part. The words did flow together quite too well. This damn pirate must've recited this before or least heard it somewhere.]

I probably would've ran them through with a sword at worst but I'm a nice fellow. So maybe I would've socked him a good one too.

[ Yep. She caught the dramatics and the flow. After all, she's rehearsed a few things herself during her lifetime. Usually variants of "I'm fine."

Sheena gives a friendly chuckle at his answer. ]

See? You would have done the same thing. Still nicer than what I would have done, though.
