[ Sheena looks thoughtful for a moment before she speaks. ]

I have a question for those who are from Keeliai: Did any of the destruction from the storms look familiar to you? [ Like in the visions they had been shown? ] I couldn't help feeling more than a sense of deja vu--especially when I asked Gnome to help with the farming again.

[ She pauses, and it's clear she's a little hesitant to continue, but does anyway. ]

Okay, another question: Did anyone find anything odd during the cleanup? I don't mean those trees, but something else? Like maybe a book that acts weird?

[ Yes, she said "book". ]

[ ooc: Though people from Keeliai know about the visions, anyone is free to jump on the first question. :) ]

This one seemed similar yes, but this one felt like more, somehow.

[ It takes Sheena a moment to answer because her feeling is quite odd. ]

It did. Like the whole world was involved somehow.

A book?

Like, say, a book written in a mysterious, untranslatable language, possibly full of weird diagrams or equations that don't seem to match up to anything that exists on this planet?

No, this book is even weird than that. Nothing stays on the pages except blood.

[ Yep. She is being totally serious right now. ]

That is super gross.

[ Kind of badass. Just slightly. A little bit awesome and badass. But mostly gross! ]

What if we tried writing the mysterious words and diagrams in the creepy blood book? I think there's definitely no way that can go wrong.

[ No...she's going to stick with gross. Though, she can find some impish humor in his comment. ]

Okay. We can try that. So, whose blood are we going to use?

Uh... does it have to be "who"? I was kind of hoping we could just use chicken blood or something.

[Mostly, Nita's just listening to what everyone else is saying in the replies, not having been in Keeliai to her knowledge.

She hasn't been getting any visions of her own since showing up as a Dreamfolk, either, or she'd volunteer that. But as for the cleanup...]

'Fraid not. Some of the debris sure acts weird, but it's mostly contained by area, not item.

Still not sure what's up with the trees.

[ Sheena's not sure if she had been there, either, but the ninja isn't going to hold that against her. ]

What do you mean, it acts weird? I haven't seen anything like that. [ Yet. ] Well...except when I touched things that one time.

Yeah, those trees are pretty confusing. I don't know what to make of them, either. I can't help feeling they're dangerous, though.

It's just... a leftover feeling, a lot of places. Like something happened, or was trying to.

What happened, that one time?

[Nita makes a face.]

Might try talking to them, then.

[If they'll respond to the Speech.]

You're getting that from the debris itself?

[ There's no disbelief in Sheena's tone. She's been here long enough to realize strange things do happen. ]

Can you talk to plants?

[ Now she is surprised. ]

[Nita just nods - the second question gets a more verbose response:]

Yeah - and lots of other things, if you know the right language.

[Since the Speech isn't something everyone has, but it's not how all beings are assumed to speak with plants!]

Getting a whole conversation isn't a guarantee, though.

Wow. That's a pretty neat ability.

[ Raine probably would have loved having it. Sheena looks at her, concerned. ]

Are you sure you want to try doing that with these trees, though? I mean, they don't seem particularly friendly. Maybe the local plants can help?

I can try networking it, work my way up.

I've talked with wilder wild cards, though.

That's actually how we gathered information back home. People always seemed surprise just how much people who shouldn't know things do.

You have? Is there anything you can't talk to?

[ She's finding this very interesting. ]

[Nita smiles.]

Funny the things plants and humans can have in common, isn't it?

And- yeah, though the bigger problem is usually them not wanting to talk, or the language they use being lost to time altogether.

[In other words, blame Entropy. In both cases, in that It'd made the trees in Dark Manhattan afraid to talk in the first place.]
