Voice | April 30 | CW: Death Shenanigans and a bit of blood
[Her apartment was near the gardens, chosen partly due to her past friend and his love of nature, so it was a perfect place to watch the proceedings. Anani shrieked right before the sound rose from the ships, and the sound rattled her bones and screamed in her ears. She backed away from the window, half crazed from the sound. The explosion struck the city without warning, rippling outward and over every living thing, sucking the energy from the world around it before springing back into nothing. The release left her grasping for breath. She knew that power far too well. Wiping the blood from her nose and ignoring the sting in her ears, she grabbed her yimo and closed her call to the Dreamfolk.]
Is everyone alive?
[She didn't feel anyone die, but something had died. She glanced over to the table where the fresh roses sat in their vase. The water had turned murky, the red blooms dry and crumbling. But there were souls still, sentient souls. Thank the gods.]
The Death plane just reacted to something. I don't know if the sounds were a warning, or a trigger.
[Blood still dripped from her nose, and she was well aware that she sounded a bit frantic.]
There's something wrong.
[She switched to private, dialing a few different people.]
(Closed to the Fool)
You need to check on Devin, now.
(closed to Gene)
Please tell me you have the rings.

Re: [voice]
[confirmation that at least one person was alive. Her senses were too on edge to feel properly.]
Did you feel it?
Re: [voice]
Do you think this... damaged anything?
Re: [voice]
Re: [voice]
Could it be that their remaining life force was drained? I know spells that do the exact same thing.
We must stay alert. If my theory is correct, and it happens again, we might start seeing dead insects and small animals.
Re: [voice]
[Voice]
[ Valdis will hear some strange sounds behind Sheena as the ninja answers--a little too loudly as her hearing is a bit dulled right now. ]
Except for feeling like some just sounded a loud horn in my ears, I'm fine. Tomoya and Takara, on the other hand are definitely freaking out.
Re: [Voice]
[her own ears were still ringing, and she felt like her entire body had been shaken by the blow from the Death Plane]
I know it was the plane, I just don’t know how much damage there is.
Re: [Voice]
[ Having the Death Plane scream in your ears is something she wouldn't wish on anyone--especially poor little animals. ]
Damage to the plane? Or to Aifaran?
[ Both are frightening thoughts after everything else. ]
Re: [Voice]
[she doesn’t specify which one, which is only significant to those who know her well.]
This is all speculation, but i feel like those sounds are a warning.

[Voice]
[Nita sounds like she's been clocked one, or at least zoned out minorly. Considering she's at the parade, that's not a good sign.]
Definitely agreeing with 'wrong', though.
Re: [Voice]
Re: [Voice]
I should be fine.
[Uh huh, Neets. At least she's being honest?]
Just- have to find somewhere to sit down, is all. Everything's-
Did we all feel the 'Death Plane'? Or did we pick up on different things?
Re: [Voice]
Some of us are more sensitive than others it seems. The sounding of the ships...Melias knows something.

Are you all right?
Re: video; private
I feel like I’ve been hit by lightning, but I’m in control.

[Then, with some dark humor:] I assume you're not asking after the rings out of concern for my health. What do you need?

[He'd felt it too, felt something, and it had made the nanites prickle under his skin and static roar in his ears so loudly he'd stumbled and nearly fallen over. Thank God he still lived alone in the Bridge; otherwise who knew what the Walrider could have done? Something like that could have made anyone register as a threat, and...
...he didn't want to think about it.]
Re: voice;
Yes. Are you?

[Hearing that Valdis was all right helped him breathe a little easier. If he'd been affected like that, she'd probably have been hit a lot worse.]
Death plane, huh? That's not great.
Re: voice;
It isn’t. But only the flowers seem to have been affected.

[And the veil seemed to be getting thinner. This development with the flowers had shaken her, at least her nose had stopped bleeding. She would have to look toward her own powers and how they moved within the soul plane.]
I'm a bit sensitive to the planes for various reasons.

Even more concerning still with the information this woman has provided.
She decides to say as much. ]
That is concerning.
Unfortunately I am quite sensitive to vibrations and so I was not conscious when the gardens were drained of life. I may have been able to discern something more from the event had I been awake.

[She was more sensitive to the Death plane, both due to her magic and to the monster that she shared a body with.]
Let's hope it doesn't happen again.
