[Now that they've figured out how to use this device to show their image, Padparadscha considers whether it's wise to introduce themselves to the Dreamfolk at large like this. On one hand, in-person is always a better gauge of the kind of person someone is. But this seems very similar to in-person anyway.

It's in the midst of this wondering that they discover the mark on the base of their spine, and though they could probably just ask one of the helpers...well, there's no problem in gauging how much the others know about how things work here.

When the video feed flicks on, Padparadscha raises a hand in greeting, a faintly amused look on their face.]

This is a funny little instrument, isn't it? But actually, I have a question. [They hold up a piece of paper, with the marking of the Destruction talent drawn on it.] I found this on my body just now, and it doesn't seem like it'll come off. Have any of you found something like it?

[Well, they don't know either, so they can't judge too hard, instead waving a hand casually.] It's alright, I'll ask someone else.

[They can see why that would be a worry, though, since Padparadscha actually is familiar with that concept.] It is troubling, isn't it? I'd like to know how it happened, even if we can't learn anything more.

[It's just he doesn't know that much about humans. But the fact that he doesn't know how the mark got there was always the problem to him.]

I would like to know, too.

[A pause.] You are not curious? [About learning anything more, that is.]

[corundrum]

Oh, I am. But if nothing is known or people don't want to tell us, then we might not be able to know any more than how.

[If they even get that far. It seems like these things are mysterious in more than one way, since nobody is coming to an agreement on even how they might have happened.]

[If people don't want to tell, then make them. But that's contingent on finding someone who knows.]

One stems from the other...

[But it's clear that neither of them do know, so he moves on.]

Have you noticed anything else? ...I have not.

Not yet. But after this, I'll be keeping an eye out for it.

[Padparadscha puts two fingers around their eye like half a binocular, the motion not very serious at all.]

[It seems like they've run out of things to discuss, at least, so unless Chase brings up something else, they'll close off the feed after a few more seconds.]
