[text] Regarding the Visions
[The post is timestamped from mid-morning, and because it's a text post, easy to miss.]
We have all had a restless night. It's clear from the conversations I have overheard that these visions are widespread, and further, that they are all about a strange event concerning a ship from several months ago.
I was not in Aifaran at the time of the ship disaster, but even a newcomer such as myself can tell that this is a source of distress for many of us. This distress can easily become chaos and panic, and worse.
What I lack in knowledge I hope to make up for in service: I propose that we collect brief accounts of all the visions and dreams experienced thus far so they can be easily referenced and analyzed by those adequately informed.
If you would all leave me a brief description of your dream, I will put them in some kind of order and make them accessible to the public.
In the interest of fairness, I'll start.
In my vision, I was someone called Al'amar. I served a meal to those around me, but when I sat down to eat, the food quickly turned to ash. This filled me with a sense of foreboding, as no one else had a similar problem. As I was beginning to panic, the vision faded, and I returned to my senses.
Though my intention here is to collect, I would be indebted to anyone who could shed light on what this means. I'm afraid I have too little context to know the significance.

Pretty sure my dream was about someone named Eitria. The fog... had tentacles, I think.

Eitria, fog, and tentacles. Noted. Did you see anything else?
text
I think that really bugged her.

She did not have contact with someone named Al'amar nor with food.

Orient herself? To what?

[Or so he thinks. But for a brief time, he felt like he was her, so it stands to reason that his impression was accurate.]
Knowing which way is up and which way is down. Is natural, is it not?

While I have not been personally subjected to them, I understand that the Dreaming has produced similar visions before.
text
Do you know if something like this happened recently? Within the last several years or so?
[Rutile isn't great at knowing what recent means to people that aren't rocks.]
text;
I've only been in Aifaran for a few months, but back when I was in Keeliai - which was about 560 years ago according to their timeline - I heard of similar visions. Dreamfolk with longer tenure may have better reports of occasions in Aifaran, or there could be records in the library.

--except it has become clear to him that these are no ordinary nightmares. This is no ordinary dream.
He's sitting on the beach on an overcast day, a cigarette in the corner of his mouth and his usually jovial, smiling face solemn, nearly ashen. He doesn't quite look at the yimo as he sends his message to Rutile.]
...I think I was the ship's captain. Or someone like that. [a pause to take a drag from the cigarette, then breathe out the smoke.] His name was Nerrin.

Nerrin, was it? I don't remember taking notes on that.
[They blink, watching the smoke slide from Kit's mouth with bleary fascination. They can't remember any of their notes half asleep, so it hardly matters.]
Did you do anything as the ship's captain?
video;
Um. A lot of running around, trying to keep the crew organized... [a pause, and then,] I feel like I just woke you up, salroka, I can call you another time. [he sounds sincerely apologetic.]

I also dreamed of Eitria's encounter with the fog that grabbed her leg.
That so many of us have had the same dreams leads me to think that this isn't a random occurrence. Yet, where are these people now? Have these events already happened, or do they have yet to happen?
[Voice]
I agree that they're not random, but you bring up an interesting point - I hadn't considered that they might be premonitions. That will make trying to connect the events that much harder.
[They hum for a moment before continuing.]
Given the Dreaming, I also wonder if we're even seeing events that take place in Konryu. Is it possible they could be from... well. Somewhere else?

He reaches out to Rutile once he notices their message on the network.]
I have dreamt of Eitria twice, [comes his pensive, quiet voice.] The first vision was much as others have already described. The second...
[There he grows quiet. The cold that settles around him would render his voice a touch unsteady, if he did not first work to master it.] I believe she has found a graveyard. For the burial of the dead.
voice
... I see. Do you believe Eitria will come to harm in this place?
[And then hastily, they add on a hunch,] And did you hear of someone called Al'amar in either of these visions?

and his friend meoni got eaten
not sure if it was a monster
but it had tentacles
text
Faias and Meoni aren't names I'm familiar with. The buzz has been about Eitria and Al'amar.
Can you tell me anything else?
