Well then. It's a festival dedicated to tying knots. Makes you wonder what form of the festivities happens in private, doesn't it?

At any rate, I met a most interesting group of people at one of the bars here. They invited me to a Erol'an poetry reading at a place near the docks. I don't know what to expect from it, but it ought to make for an interesting night.

[Naesala seems pretty satisfied with the turn of events, too. Look at him, making friends with hipsters.]

If only all my interactions with the locals were like that. Do yourselves a favor and don't walk close to the colleges if you have any extra appendages. You might not escape with all your feathers intact.

I used to hang out with some spoiled herons, so I'm not a stranger to styling hair, believe it or not. Let me at least show you the proper way to do it, so I don't have to keep looking at that disaster of a bird's nest every single day.

Oooh, really? That actually sounds awesome. I mean, I like how it looks now, honestly, but I'm not opposed to learning.

[Galpals! It's uncertain whether Bakura will be displeased or not. He probably won't care, and Pepper can do his hair however he lets her (which honestly will likely be his current style, just neater).]

...speaking of all the bird references, how fast can you fly?

Good. I'm sure I could find a doll or something similar for you to practice on. You're not going near my hair with scissors. [Perish the thought.]

That's a bit off-topic, isn't it? But I'll indulge you. I can travel about 60 miles in an hour when I push myself, though I'm faster in a dive. Why do you ask?

I might get good enough that you'll change your mind, [Pepper counters. Good job, Naesala. You've challenged her to something, which means she's not going to stop until she's an expert.]

Because I can fly, too. Well, when I've got my armor; I'm just a normal flightless person without it. But I've done races with a few people in the past just for fun, and it's cool to share the air.

Hah! We'll see about that.

[That explanation does get a small frown out of him,] You... use armor to fly? That sounds like a contradiction to me. Well, if you're so confident in racing with this armor of yours, I wouldn't mind giving it a shot.

Yes, yes we will. [Pepper's smile turns sly and confident.] Oh, man, I am gonna fly in circles around you.

[She has a completely unfair advantage. Completely. It'll be funny.]

I'll let you pick the meeting spot, and the route, if you'd like.

You're awfully sure of yourself for not having wings of your own. But sure, give me the terrain advantage. I'll get you a map with the route marked.

Awesome. I'll come by your room later and get it. [She's visited often enough, what with him being one of Bakura's roommates.] Maybe we should get someone to film it for fun. I bet we could get some cool pictures for the Xa Xa network.

[Also, she really wants a shot of Naesala's face when he sees the Rescue armor. It'll be priceless.]

[He is starting to get a little suspicious about all of this. She just didn't seem phased in the slightest, and it's making Naesala wonder. Was Pepper really that confident, or did she just have an incredible poker face?]

You can do as you like. We might catch enough attention just being in the air - who's to say someone on the ground wouldn't use these yimo devices to take pictures as it is?
