first wish ♛ video;
Turtles? I'm not entirely sold on what was described when I got here by the people at the Dreaming Bridge, although there are turtle gods back in Japan. Gen-bu, Oto-hime, Mino-game... so it's not unheard of.
But what I can't figure out is, where are all the shrines around here? You've got tons of different peoples all living in the same place, but no one thought to set up proper shrines??
[ And then he flashes the camera a grin, because he's got just the solution! ]
What you all need is a new god to take care of those prayers of yours that have probably been going unanswered!
So here I am: the Yato God at your service! 24/7 wish-granting, fast, reliable and affordable!

She laughs at the ’trust me’ bit. ] You’ve yet to make a believer out of me, but I don’t really know any other gods personally, so I guess I just have to take your word for it.
That said, turns out I do have a wish!
no subject
Yes! My first customer-- I'm all ears!
no subject
Which brings us to my next conquest: to be the queen of Xa Xa!
But I need to take my pictures to the next level. Think you can help out your buddy?
[ She sends him this photo, grinning from ear to ear. She’s clearly drawn inspiration from somewhere. ]
no subject
Of course! But there's still no such thing as a free wish.

[ Ilda may still not believe your godly side, Yato, but she does believe in you as a friend. Also, she's rather fond of you. And needs a friend to help with her life goals. ]
So you do want my firstborn child after all! Or did you want someone else's?

My Aifaran rates are: 1 copper rhinn per wish! Easy, right?
no subject
Just one copper rhinn? Regardless of the complexity of the wish? [ She frowns. That doesn’t seem like a profitable enterprise. ] So in our case, is that one rhinn per photo, or are we talking about the whole afternoon, regardless of how many photos we end up taking?

[ He lifts a brown, long-necked bottle into view; coins clink around inside against the glass. ]
Unless you've got yen, then I'll take a 5-yen coin.

... I asked around. A copper rhinn is what people offer at the shrines they've got here.
no subject
... Okay. And your goal is to fill that bottle with rhinn until it overflows? Then get a shrine built?
no subject
Exactly! Then I'll build the greatest shrine that anyone's ever seen, and I'll be the land's top god!
no subject
And you plan to achieve that in how many years again? [ She’s no math whiz, but counting money’s a life skill she’s developed as a trader. ]

[ Ilda's remark seems to stick more pointedly at Yato then his casual demeanor lets on. ]
As long as it takes.
no subject
... This really means a lot to you, huh. [ Not teasing now. She actually looks thoughtful, and there’s a glint of determination in her eyes. ]
no subject
Well... pure deceased soul, so not exactly a living weapon. But, not something inanimate, if that's what you mean. I found him and Named him.
[ The way he says it implies the capital on the action. ]
Well... yeah. I mean, being without a shrine is basically the same as being homeless, you know?
no subject
So even in death, we serve the gods. [ It’s not an angry or accusatory tone, though. She says it in the same way one would state that the sky is blue. ]
... Then let’s make sure you don’t stay homeless for long! [ Her enthusiasm is back now, but you can see the determination in her eyes. ] Is there a cap for wishes? How soon can I make another?
no subject
As soon as you want!

And I’ll have to look for a job, too.

For work, well… I enjoy trading. It’s what I do back home, and I have a lot of fun with it. I mostly sell fish and the stuff we make out of it, but I also procure goods that my regulars request.
If you mean hobbies, I like hanging out with people! Bring me to the marketplace or where people are at and I can be there all day. I also like to explore! Not that I did that much back home, but I’d love to when I can!
