[Yet another video post appeared on the network, but this one seemed to be shot by someone who knew how to work a camera. For a moment it was just a shot of some white fluff on a bed before Leo's face edged into the camera.]

Hey, look, I know everyone is kinda emotional and on edge right now because of this whole being dragged onto the turtle business and strange symbols appearing on your body but seriously. We all need to take a moment to chill the fuck out. Getting mad at the natives isn't gonna help, and neither is at each other. I'm pretty sure the only thing that accomplishes is making you look like an asshole.

[Leo took himself out of range of the camera to focus on the white fluff again, which was in fact the most adorable picture of two bibirus cuddling each other. They were both very round and snuggled up against each other's body, the slightly bigger one wrapping a wing over the both of them.]

Look at that. Look, I came back to this and almost died. This is literally the cutest thing ever. Please everyone, just look at this shit. I'm gonna die. Everyone just stop for a moment and look at this, I swear it will make you feel better at least a little.

God I'm so sleep deprived.

[Klaus shook his head, bemused by his drunken co-worker's antics]

The replenishing jar of coffee beans managed to make it back here with me. I thought something familiar might be bit of a comfort.

[When Steven's fluffy rabbit counterpart was produced, he practically beamed.]

Ah - what a little dear he is! [Much sweeter and more timid than the man he was named for.]

[Klaus gently stroked back the bibiru's ears and pressed a kiss to the crown of its head. It was just so cute he couldn't help himself - though he seemed to realize how undignified he was acting and quickly straightened, and cleared his throat.]

I ah... apologize. I seem to be a tad nostalgic for my pets I had back at the estate.

[Steven wasn't as cuddly as the others and liked to hide, but he seemed to accept Klaus' affections nonetheless. Leo, however, suddenly had changed his demeanor. He knew that the large man liked small and cute things and seemed to respond to the bibirus before, but his logic right now was shattered. Large, fat tears were gathering in the corners of his eyes.]

I knew it. You like the bibirus more than me, don't you? You-you-did you just come here for them??

[Klaus's expression could be summarized as utterly and completely baffled.]

Er... I came to see if you were alright.

[Because you are clearly drunk, Leo.]

...Which you're clearly not.

[Out comes the handkerchief to dab away those tears.]

Will you tell me what's weighing on you?

You just called the bibirus a cute name and kissed him on his forehead, and you never do it for me!!

[He wasn't a very good actor and hopefully Klaus would be able to tell he was just being dumb and dramatic, but the alien blue puppy eyes were a. Thing.]

You just came over for the cute animals.....why can't I ever get you to be like that......

[Just let him. Lay on his bed and bury his face in rabbit fur.]

[The problem with being a person who was almost ludicrously sincere in everything he did, he sometimes couldn't tell when someone was being ... well... the opposite.]

[Klaus's ears were approximately the same shade of red as his hair and the blush was spreading fast across his face.]

[He promptly looked away and cleared his throat, shoulders hunched just a little]

Leonardo it's not as though I don't care for you - but it would be very inappropriate for me to act like that towards my friends and coworkers!

[He looks almost distraught. Those puppy eyes are super effective Leo. Good job!]

[Leo was being sincere!! He was also being melodramatic and emotional, which was pretty much out of control at this point. His big blue eyes were still staring at Klaus, the only good thing was that the larger man's blush and discomfort weren't exactly registering.]

But I don't care!!! What if I wanted you to....

[He was cuddling a bibiru now at the same time. Double strike.]

Leonardo - it's not as though I'm not flattered - you're an admirable man. But as I said - it would be inappropriate and irresponsible of me to - to behave that way.

[He tried to make a hand gesture to convey that way. It looked a bit like flailing. Which is what he was doing, inside and out.]

Especially when you're so clearly inebriated with... is it just alcohol they gave you?

[This was, after all, another world. And while it wasn't the center of chaos that Jerusalem's Lot was, there may be a few things different. Such as what they put in their drinks. And he would sooner believe that there was something else in that bottle than ever entertain the thought they'd sincerely want him to kiss them and call them pet names.]

[Unfortunately, logic wasn't something drunk Leo was gifted with. His eyes just stayed large and round as he hugged Steven to his chest.]

Steven, I knew it. He likes you more than me. Probably the real Steven too. He's all cool and mysterious and scary and I'm just a piece of wet bread!!

[Steven did not seem to care about this at all, and was more interested in wiggling out and sitting on the bed. Otherwise, the bottle of alcohol that Leo had been drinking from was on the table by Leo's own bed, and had a pleasant fruity aroma.]

[Klaus took a deep breath, exhaled, and rested a reassuring hand on Leo's shoulder. His tone was firm, even stern when he spoke next.]

You are not a piece of wet bread. You are a kind, compassionate young man.

[Another breath, and he softened a little, though he seemed as serious as he always was.]

...If this is how you really feel, we can talk more when you've sobered. For now, I'd just like to make sure this didn't have anything in it that might require medical treatment.

Medical treatment? Am I dying???

[Steven had crawled into Klaus' lap while Leo himself had now attached himself onto his boss's arm.]

I don't wanna leave you and my bunnies!!!

You're not dying, just inebriated.

[And possibly high because drinking this much certainly wouldn't result in... that odd conversation. God he could smell the fumes from the drink from here - what the hell was in that stuff?]

I'd like to keep an eye on the situation for now.

[Aaaaand there was Leo. On his arm. And a fat bunny in his lap. Klaus couldn't possibly get any redder than he was.]

Would you like to get some water and fresh air? It may help.

[Neither of them looked like they were going to be leaving soon, either. With the question, Leo just clung to the arm harder.]

You'll just leave me if I let go and go somewhere else, I know it. I don't need fresh air either, I'm perfectly fine in here!! I only wanted to talk about my cute bunnies...I want people to love me like they do bibirus.......

[Oh dear - Leo really was in quite a state. Klaus gently set aside the bibiru, and inspected the bottle briefly - a perfunctory sniff left him with only one answer, however, and that whatever Leo had imbibed was strong stuff. Setting it aside, Klaus pulled Leo into a one armed hug.]

I will not leave you.

[He hoped that would reassure Leo.]

But I don't think you're feeling quite yourself. Let's go get some water, and you can tell me all about your cute bunnies, yes?

[Klaus your smile is the opposite of reassuring.]

[At least he'd not drank enough to land himself in the hospital, but Leo wasn't that bad. Luckily, he wasn't looking directly at Klaus' face and missed the fanged smile his boss was giving him, too busy with clinging to the large arm like his life depended on it.]

I'm fine, I don't need water! Besides, how could I leave Chain and Michella and Steven here? Can you believe I just found Steven on the street like that? It's like that guy with the broken bibiru wing. And I just wanna find enough so I can name them all after my friends. Figures I had to name them after Chain and Steven first, when they'd just stab me for thinking about them as a bunny.

I think Steven would find it flattering. Not many have the courage to perceive him as 'cute'.

[Chain would probably just think it was funny. Or sad. She probably wouldn't stab Leo at the very least.]

...You seem to sorely miss our comrades and your family.

You only say that because you're the one person Steven likes.

[There was a pause while he stared at the bibiru fluffing itself in Klaus' lap.]

And of course I miss you! I mean Michella is obvious, but like you guys were the first friends I ever had!

[That hit a chord - not the bit about Steven. Klaus knew full well the man could be profoundly cold and intimidating. But the bit about Libra being the first friends Leo ever had...]

For all the heartache you've endured... I'm glad that we could be a positive force in your life. Your own presence has had a marked difference in the organization as well.

[He smiled too himself, just a little.]

Even Steven hasn't been immune to it, much to his dismay.

[Thankfully being drunk stopped Leo from caring about just how cheesy Klaus' words were. He just kept clinging to the man's arm and reaching out to pet the bibiru across his back.]

Yeah, now Zapp has another butt monkey to tease.

But..but...when I saw you guys come after that Gamimotz guy almost killed me that was the happiest I've ever felt. ALL of you came. For me and my sister. I don't really remember much but your auras but it made all the time I was with you guys worth it.

[Klaus had an odd expression on his face, torn between relief, anguish, and joy. He wished there was a complicated German word to describe this specific minutia of complicated emotions - there probably was though he couldn't recall it at the moment. He was just glad Leo was alive and well enough to be leaving a numb tingly feeling in his arm.]

I don't have words for how glad I am we got there in time. When I saw what he'd done to you and Michella...

[Klaus's fist clenched, some residual fury at Gamimotz still lingering.]

Whatever the case, there is nothing we would not do to reach you in a crisis.

Ms. KK kept complaining how you hogging him all to yourself and murdered him and to be honest its kinda scary but also I never figured I'd be a person someone would murder over. I mean, even Michella full on tackled the guy but I didn't even look cool at all...

[Rambling was now the name of the game, though everything he was saying was pretty true to his feelings.]

Well, I have scars now, so maybe that makes me more badass. Michella didn't get hurt at all so I don't think I did too bad. And Toby was okay too. And somehow...me. Because of my friends.

Ah...well... diplomacy was clearly not an option in his case.

[Leo and Michella sitting in a puddle of blood with Leo's severed finger several feet from him had pretty much thrown all thoughts of reaching a diplomatic end had gone out the window. And so had Gamimotz, after getting punched through several walls.]

[Klaus looked down at Leo smiling fondly.]

And I disagree - you look very ...er... as you say - cool.

[Klaus, however, didn't. Informal language was clearly not familiar territory for him.]

Did I really? Or are you just saying that? You're the cool one. You're like...really huge and strong and good at like everything you do-I don't even get how prosfair works, or like taking care of your plants and being really nice and beating the shit out of Zapp....

I just wanna live up to you guys.

[You're probably never getting that arm back unless he falls asleep, Klaus.]
