Ah - Jerusalem's Lot isn't here. It's back in my world. Aifaran is fairly standard as cities go, even given some of it's more extraordinary circumstances.

I'm curious, however - what sort of ambitious projects do you have in mind?

All these resources, and nobody's thought to use them? Do people just immediately hit the beach as soon as they get here? Psh. Whatever, more for me, then.

At the moment, I've got electronic shields, entertainment systems, servant bots, and vehicles in mind. Can you believe these guys just travel by boat? Who the hell wants to dick around the sea for days? I'll also be conducting studies on households, crimes, and common city problems. Supply a demand, so to speak.

My biggest scientific interest is the inherent talents, and whether or not it could have varied applications. I feel like we're not using a natural powerful resource to its full potential.

Even magic has its limits - one should be wary of overuse and exploitation. Still, I agree - these talents seem interesting - and should be explored further.

Sure, but that's the problem, isn't it? How can you overuse and exploit when you don't even know what said limits are? Lack of knowledge doesn't help anybody.

True - lack of knowledge often proves rather detrimental in most situations.

Illusion... a compatriot of mine also seems to have been marked by that school. I have conjuration, though I haven't had much time to explore what that entails yet what with one thing and another. I'm also not sure how it may react with my other abilities.

Yes. People come here with magical or otherwise supernatural abilities they had int heir own world.

I'm a Blood Arts user - which means I can manipulate and shape my own blood in various ways.

Just your blood? Is that something you were born with, or something you learned?

It's... an acquired skill.

It's had it's uses, but it's not something I'd recommend seeking out.
