[A bright, green eye fills the screen for a moment before a young woman pulls back from the lens. She looks a several meals and a few nights sleep short of healthy, and she's decidedly disheveled. Her grey clothes, stained with soot look rather old fashioned as well.]

----this how it works? Ah, quite. I see the little light.

How remarkable - and no smelly chemicals? ...Papa would have been over the moon about this.

[There is a slight hint of regret or sadness in her tone at this, but she seems to settle, and the view from the camera steadies. She at least seems somewhat familiar with the concept of photography.]

The nice... ...er...

[She glances to the side of her at the Kin'nal who helped her, but he's already wandered off, clearly done with her many, many questions. She carries on, regardless.]

The nice lizard said that this is the best way to speak with other Dreamfolk. Isn't that a peculiar thing? We are Dreamfolk, but this isn't a dream. Or so he says. How would you even test if something's a dream or not if you're in the dream - a pinch would hardly do - you could just be dreaming the pain like anything else.

...The cat hasn't shown up with any of his cryptic nonsense though, so suppose there's that to be thankful for.

I find it hard to imagine there are people on the other side of this camera, but that is what I was told. It sounds like a rather elaborate ruse, but I am a Dreamfolk outside of a dream - perhaps common sense is also hung out to dry.


...Meeting others has... never really been my forte, but it couldn't hurt to try.

 [ The video feed turns on directed towards a young woman wearing designer sunglasses, a shimmery, rich teal colored dress, and sipping a martini. She's in the outdoor seating area of a restaurant, but still appears to be trying to out-dress other patrons seated near her. She smirked and wiggled her fingers in a little wave. ]

Hey. I'm not that new, but I've been sightseeing and busy, the weather's great and we have that upcoming tourney. There's a lot to take in, a lot more than anything you can see on a tiny screen. So I decided I should just multitask on my lunch break! [ Tips glasses up, gives a wink. ] If anyone has dessert recommendations, I'm all ears. 

Primarily, I love getting new contacts. Maybe we can eat out together next time. I'll make it worth your while! Just tell me what you're looking for. A friend? An employee? A guide? [  She lowered her voice to a mock-hush. ] If your life is spiraling and you want to lay down on a sofa and have someone nod to your problems, I'm your gal, but more scandalously and importantly, if you need fashion advice, I won't tell anybody and we'll have you fixed in no time. 

[ Raises voice again. ] Seriously, though, hi! I'm Lyn, or Lyndon Frei to be more specific. But call me Lyn when I'm this pretty. It's Lyndon when I'm only slightly less pretty. [ Looks around, then shapeshifts to his male form for just a second and in a teal coat instead of a dress. Another restaurant goer chokes on their food a bit, and Loki bites his lip to keep from bursting out laughing. Shifts back to female again. ] "Less pretty" was a joke, by the way.

I have something in particular to ask about, if you've listened this far. Anyone notice anything odd happening around them? I'm not referring to runaway Munga odd or any other relatively normal odd you're going to find in a cultural, species, and magic melting pot. What I mean is your powers not acting as they usually would. Possessions that are just a little off, not how you remembered them. Something strange is in the air, and it might be useful to compile the different incidents for reference and comparison. If you've seen anything, however small, might as well note it. Watch for it. Get back to me.

[ She picks the dessert menu back up casually and peruses it. ] ...Maybe I'll order all of it. I deserve that.
