[The video feed starts with a rather flustered Conan tightly gripping his glasses with one hand.]

So does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the gyroshei to go away? A few of them have been following me, and they keep trying to get at my glasses.

A loud noise seem to work earlier, but-

[And Conan is suddenly interrupted as one of the birds lands behind him and tilts its head in interest as the light glints off the metal on his glasses, watch and belt. It solves the issue of deciding what to go for first by neatly hooking its talon in the back of his jacket and carrying him off.]

[ Yato looks positively ecstatic when the video turns on, practically vibrating in his seat, and he's holding up a weird little thing, made of twisted bits of fishing net, a broken lure, some seaweed strands, a cracked shell, and some other assorted marine bits. In other words, it looks exactly like something you'd reel in off a snag on your hook (and normally throw away), except someone's tied a bow of old twine on it. ]

I've finally got it! My perfect solution to making more of an impact in Aifaran! This is an Erol'an good luck charm!

[ He caresses it fondly, like its presence is a dream come true! ]

An Erol'an mystic woman sold it to me when I was down on the docks doing a job! She said she sensed a strong, positive aura from me, and this would help me focus it, all I have to do is keep it with me at all times.

It's going to work, I can just feel it!

[Valdis woke in a panic, to emotions not her own and she wondered briefly if this was what X had felt once the shock had worn off. But she didn't make any moves until she was sure of herself again, taking time to pick apart the dream and remove herself from it.

That hadn't been easy. The turmoil of the crew, the black, oily shadows that twisted with their own life. Far too reminiscent of darker things. Had some creature from the Death Plane managed to reach through a breach? And if so, was this some kind of warning? As someone who could not dream without some power at work, she had long since stopped discounting them.

It was still dark outside when she turned on her video stream.]

Has anyone else had strange visions tonight?

[Her voice is steady, more certain than she feels, but Valdis refuses to allow dread to overwhelm her.]

I tried to sketch what I remember, but it's more the feeling of it that I can grasp. A sense of fear and...a black, oiled shadow that seems to move on its own.

[It was that oily shadow that bothered her the most.]

And a name...Nerrin.

[ Minutes ago, there had been a scream as Ilda jolted awake. And in the dark of the night she'd panicked, the sight of the not-quite-familiar room making her think that she was still in the jungle, with the inky mass of... something trailing menacingly right behind her.

She'd stumbled out of bed and out of the room, her new roommates momentarily forgotten.

When she'd finally sent out a message, she was up on the roof, hugging her knees, tears streaming down her face. ]

So, uh, I could use some help.

[The video is clearly being filmed outside, and the camera is focused on a little white bibiru with a crooked wing and patch of brown fur over one eye. It is doing what bibirus do best: look cute and eat grass. Kit's voice is audible before he turns the yimo around so he can be seen by the camera.]

Help me name this damn thing.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I'm officially opening the Konryu branch of Stark Solutions.

I do repairs and custom technology solutions for... just about everything. I've done everything from skyscrapers and jet fleets to disco roombas. Oh, and flying power armor. If you've seen one of those around, that's me. Not taking commissions for those right now, but that's some of my work. You can call it proof of concept.

[So there's some kind of sickness going around, causing paranoia and hallucinations. Zelos is pretty sure he's been on the receiving end of some of it by now. But being sick is being sick, it happens, and who cares that Aifaran's weird Dreaming flavour of sickness means seeing dead people around every corner? There's something much more important he wants to talk about here.]

[ Anyone on the network on the morning of March 18th will find themselves unexpectedly assaulted by one, two, no three selfies of Ilda, who’s just recently discovered the wonderful technology of the yimo and is absolutely thrilled about the concept of photos and videos. But she’s still not sure about what she’s doing. Like how she doesn’t know she’s spammed everyone with her photos... yet. ]

[The screen flickers to life, and a glance, one might assume the subsequent feed was accidental in nature. After all, Oldbag looked far from 100% camera-ready. Her grey hair was loosely rolled in soft curlers. Her face was freshly washed, cheeks still slightly rosy. But only slightly, having splash cold water over her skin and gently patted dry just before. And her wardrobe consisted of...a bathrobe. A conservative, tightly wrapped bathrobe...but man, did it look quite comfortable.]

[She was lounging back in what appeared to be some sort of recliner, her feet up and a box of chocolates in her lap. Steam from just off-screen indicated a hot drink of some kind. All this, combined with the content smile on her face, indicated that the broadcast was not, in fact, a mistake. She just didn't give a hoot.]

I know what today is. I've had many todays in the past, and the today of today was certainly no different.

[Did... that even make sense? Don't be silly. Of course it did. If you couldn't keep up, that was on you.]

Young ladies and gentleman fretting over whether or not the special someone in their lives had read their mind. Young gentleman and ladies fretting over whether or not they were successful mind readers. Goodness knows, I've been there far more times than I care to recall. Always a headache, all that mind reading. Of course, I've gotten quite good at it. Though I suppose it always helps that the lovely young men in my presence always seem the easiest to read...

But I digress.

Instead of worrying about getting on my level of reading the minds of others...listen to the advice of an old woman and read your own mind. If you're worried no one will love you today, love yourself. I promise you, it will be absolutely delicious!

[A pause, and she reached off screen to take a sip of tea. Before making a slight face.]

I retract my previous statement.

The chocolates are delicious. The tea...I've had better.
